How to use the TikTok story downloader

Open the story, tap Share (or the three dots), then Copy link. The exact menu can look a little different between app versions.

Video stories save as MP4; photo stories save as images. If a story link doesn't work, the story has usually ended or the account is private.

The 24-hour clock
TikTok stories last 24 hours, and that time can't be extended. Each story slide runs up to 15 seconds. When the 24 hours are up, the story disappears from public view and its link stops working, according to Postiz's guide to TikTok stories. After that, no TikTok story downloader can save it.
Saving your own stories
You might not need SnapTik for this. While your own story is live, you can save it from its three-dot menu in the TikTok app. Stories that run their full 24 hours also go to your private archive (it's on by default), so you can find them later. Use SnapTik when you want a clean file without the watermark.
